During our consultations, you will gain a deeper understanding of your Ayurvedic constitution.
Your Prakriti, or natural constitution, is the unique balance of the doshas that was established at the moment of your conception. It represents your most balanced, healthy state—the foundation we will work to restore. Just as every person has a distinct fingerprint, each individual has a unique prakriti. We determine this balance by assessing your pulse, physical characteristics, and long-term tendencies.
Your Vikruti is your current state of doshic imbalance as understood through Ayurveda. When one or more doshas rise in excess, they create disturbances in the body and mind, leading to discomfort or illness. Through Ayurvedic practices, we work to correct these imbalances, creating the optimal environment for healing and overall well-being.
You will gain insight into your unique doshic composition and how it influences your body, mind, and overall well-being.
Ayurveda recognizes three primary doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—each governed by different elements and qualities. Understanding your dosha helps you recognize your natural tendencies and imbalances, guiding you toward greater health and harmony.
-
Vata is composed of the elements Ether (Space) and Air, representing movement and expansiveness. These elements create qualities that are cold, light, dry, and mobile. If Vata predominates in your constitution or imbalance, these characteristics will be reflected in your body and mind. Physically, Vata types tend to have a slender, light frame. When in balance, Vata expresses as enthusiasm, creativity, and a joyful, bubbly nature.
-
Pitta is formed by the elements Fire and Water, with fire being the dominant force. Fire represents heat, transformation, and clarity, while water provides fluidity and smoothness. Those with a strong Pitta nature tend to be warm-bodied, with a medium build and well-defined features. When balanced, Pitta fosters sharp focus, intellect, and strong leadership qualities.
-
Kapha is composed of the elements Earth and Water, representing stability, strength, and nourishment. These elements create qualities that are cool, moist, heavy, and solid. A Kapha-dominant constitution tends to have a sturdy, well-built frame and a naturally calm, compassionate, and nurturing disposition. When in balance, Kapha provides emotional resilience and physical endurance.
Through Ayurvedic consultations, you will learn how these doshas manifest within you and how to restore balance, supporting your health at every level.
